Apples, markets, and new friendships, all in the first week!
Congratulations parents, for making it to the first weekend of the school year! Put your feet up and take it easy this weekend.
I'm happy to see close bonds being formed by the children in our group, and seeing them call out to one another in the schoolyard anticipating an action-packed afternoon. I'm looking forward to seeing these friendships develop over the course of the school year.
We've been all over the place this week: Students learned about Rosh Hashanah on Wednesday (and enjoyed delicious apples and honey), had a scavenger hunt at the Dufferin Grove Farmer's Market on Thursday, and walked down to Trinity Bellwoods Park today to meet up with the Crawford group (The Cycling Giants!) for some hilarious group games and soccer. There were a few familiar faces to some of the kids, and plenty of new friends. The Crawford teachers and I hope to make this a somewhat regular thing while the weather permits, so we'll keep you updated on these meet-ups.
Happy Friday everybody, and see you next week!
